Check your Fees Free eligibility!
If you are planning to start your training apprenticeship at MAST Academy for the first time, you may be eligible for Fees Free.
Fees Free tertiary education and training is a policy introduced in 2018 to expand participation in tertiary education and reduce student debt in New Zealand. It is targeted towards first-time learners.
If you are a first-time tertiary learner, or your first tertiary education was covered by the Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund (TTAF), you may be able to get up to $12,000 of your fees covered for one year’s study or two years’ training. If you are eligible, we’ll organise payment of your fees with the Tertiary Education Commission.
Check if you are eligible by visiting Fees Free.
Your employer may be eligible for a wage subsidy for new apprenticeship enrolments.
Apprenticeship Boost is a payment made to employers to help them keep and take on new apprentices.
The payment is made directly to employers. It means apprentices can keep earning while training towards their qualifications.
Apprenticeship Boost is available until the end of December 2023.
