Chopper Gun and Gelcoat Micro Credential

The purpose of this micro-credential course is to upskill people working in industrial composites or composite boat building. The course can also be used to credentialise your skills in gel coat application and chopper gun application. It is expected that you will have experience in these areas prior to enrolment. The course is delivered in the workplace.

Chopper Gun and Gelcoat Micro credential includes practical and theory in :

• Gelcoat application equipment

• Material & equipment preparation and deposit polyester gel coatings

• Material and equipment preparation and deposit composite matrix with chopper gun or depositor

• Repair damaged or faulty composite & gel coated items

• Defects, blemishes and touch-ups
